Introduction
This following document sets forth the Privacy Policy for Lexoris website, www.lexoris.com.au (The Site) and its online transcription platform (The Platform). Lexoris is committed to providing you with the best possible customer service experience. Lexoris is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), which sets out a number of principles concerning the privacy of individuals.
Collection of personal information
There are many aspects of the site, which can be viewed without providing personal information. However, in order to obtain a licence for the use of The Platform and for access to future Lexoris support features you are required to submit personally identifiable information. This may include but not limited to; First Name, Last Name, Email Address, Workplace or Firm Name. Transcription audio and text are processed temporarily and deleted after download.
Use of personal information
The use of your personal information includes but is not limited to: a) Create and manage your account; b) Provide and improve our transcription service; c) Process payments through Stripe; and d) Communicate service updates or support matters. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.
Sharing of your personal information
We may occasionally engage other companies or individuals to provide services on our behalf, including, but not limited to: a) Stripe for secure payments (subject to Stripe’s own Privacy Policy); b) Oracle API transcription hosted in Australia for processing only; c) Formspree for early-access forms; and d) Vercel and hosting infrastructure for website delivery. Those companies or individuals will be permitted by Lexoris to obtain only the personal information they need to deliver the relevant service. Lexoris takes reasonable steps to ensure that these organisations are bound by confidentiality and privacy obligations in relation to the protection of your personal information. Where these third-party providers involve processing outside Australia, we ensure they implement GDPR-compliant safeguards for the transfer of personal data.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
Lexoris reserves the right to make amendments to this Privacy Policy at any time. If you have objections to the Privacy Policy, you should not access or use the site or Lexoris’ platform.
Accessing Your Personal Information
You have a right to access your personal information held by Lexoris, subject to exceptions allowed by law. If you would like to do so, please let us know. You may be required to put your request in writing for security reasons. Lexoris reserves the right to charge a fee for searching for, and providing access to, your information on a per request basis.
